Last weekend the Rams travelled to Dalkeith to compete in the annual 10 a side tournament. With a fair number of regulars unavailable through injury, work and holiday commitments it gave an opportunity for the coaching team to experiment with positions and personnel and give the first XV players a much needed run out before their final crucial league games over the next two weekends.

Drawn in a tough group Moffat started off well with a deserved 3 tries to 1 victory over a good North Berwick side. They then were unlucky to lose the second game against a strong Penicuik side by 4 tries to 2. In their final game they narrowly lost out to Dalkeith by 3 tries to 2.
