Moffat V Cumnock

Published on 23 September 2007 at 09:11:00

Next Saturday Cumnock are the visitors to Holm Park to take on a resurgent Rams. They are known as a stuffy, no nonsense outfit and notoriously hard to beat.

With all last Saturdays record breaking squad and Zola, Blackie, Murray, Hammy, Chicken and Hawthorn available the coaching staff will be near to fielding a first choice line up.

Coach Andy Ferguson said "Unfortunately with the SRU ruling of only three replacements squad selection will be a welcome headache for us. There will naturally be some players disappointed when they miss out this week but Hobbo and I will be using a rotation system for the replacements bench to ensure everyone is given a run in the weeks to come."

He continued "our success is attracting some new players and encouraging some former players to return. With our veterans due to play in France this autumn and starting to train in readiness we are now only a few players short of being able to field an occasional second team so anyone wanting to come along will be very welcome"

As always selection will be at training and the team named after the press deadline. The team will be posted on the club website http://www.moffat-rugby.com/.

Players are to meet at Holm Park at 1.30 pm sharp for a 3 pm Kick Off. As always refreshments will be available for spectators
