Published on 23 October 2006 at 19:26:00

This coming weekend sees Moffat Rams aim to reach the 3rd round of the BT Cup for the first time in their history when they take on Strathclyde University in Round 2 at Holm Park.  A noisy and enthusiastic home support cheered on the Rams to victory in Round 1 against Calder and Moffat coach Andy Ferguson is looking for more of the same this time: "The players really appreciated the backing of the home crowd against Calder and with Strathclyde fielding a young, fit team this match is likely to be an fast, open, and entertaining affair to watch.  We now have a great opportunity to progress to meet some of the bigger teams in and with home advantage we are well capable of a win.  However, our concentration and application will have to be of the highest level for on their day Strathclyde University are a very capable outfit".

Players should report to Holm Park at 1.45pm prompt for the match which kicks-off at 3pm.  Hot snacks and refreshments will be available for what is expected to be a healthy crowd.
